How trust levels work

Basic limits for new accounts, more room for accounts with a good history.

We use trust levels to reduce spam, phishing, and other abuse without requiring everyone to verify their identity. New accounts have basic limits. Accounts with a good history can qualify for higher limits, and identity verification unlocks additional features.

Each account has a trust score from 0 to 100 and a trust level from 0 to 4. You can view the events that affect your score, and the reasons for those changes, in the Trust section of your account.

4 · BondedMeet the level 3 requirements and maintain the required token bond.252 yearsYes2,500/day

To reach a level you need both the milestone in the table and a minimum trust score: 25 for level 1, 40 for level 2, 60 for level 3, and 75 for level 4.

What affects your trust score?

Things that may improve your score: account age, active domains used for real websites or email, successful paid-service history, identity verification, and referrals that remain in good standing for at least 90 days.

Things that may lower your score: upheld abuse reports, domains flagged by reputable phishing or malware sources, payment disputes, and patterns that suggest large-scale account creation from one device or network.

We may act immediately when we identify serious abuse. Positive account history takes time to build.

Optional identity verification

You can reach level 2 by verifying your identity through a third-party provider. The provider checks your identification and a selfie. We plan to store the verification result, country, date, and a one-way hash of the document number, but not copies of the ID images. The provider may retain images under its own policies. We'll request your consent before any face scan. See our privacy notice.

Identity verification is planned and is not available in the closed beta.

Token bond for level 4

Level 4 requires a bond made up of TLDT tokens held in the account. We plan to return the bond 30 days after an account closes in good standing. A bond may be forfeited after confirmed abuse, subject to the final terms. Buying services or making donations does not automatically increase your trust level.

This feature is planned. TLDT has not been issued, so token bonds are not currently available.

Domain name screening

Before registration, we check requested domain names against lists of protected brands, look-alike names, suspicious combinations of words, and recent phishing reports. Names that need a closer look are reviewed by a person.
